Shania Dunn

As a Visual Arts and Design student, my practice integrates the two fields to develop works that examine consumer culture and fast fashion. Specialising in textiles, my art practice utilises deconstruction-reconstruction processes to transform forgotten and discarded objects into new symbolic pieces. My design practice explores how typographic strategies can be employed to communicate ideas about wastefulness and consumerism to an audience. My work focuses on the importance of ‘slowing down’ in contemporary society and inspiring others to do the same.
