Aidan Mckay

Over the past three years I have created works that have drawn inspiration from childhood memories and popular pop-culture. Most of my artworks reference popular cartoons from the late nineties and early two thousands. My main art practice revolves around drawing, sculpture and painting. Often my artworks begin as a replica of pop-culture and finish as a representation of a
more complicated subject. I find this gives the audience an option, enjoy the light-hearted pop-culture on the surface or if they so choose, look for a more complicated theme.
